CONTENT: Communications films

Overview

We having been working with WWF since 2010. Increasingly the use of video is being used within the NGO for Internal Communications reporting to Stakeholders and also to communicate key projects externally to conservation supporters. We have been involved in both the consulting and productions of these concepts.

Pisces Project //

Objectives

To demonstrate to potential partners in the Celtic Sea how stakeholder partnerships work by using existing successful examples.

Approach

We researched a number of stakeholder projects and identified key examples for the focus of the films. We then arranged access and scripted the narrative before filming.

Roles

Researching, producing, filming, editing and scripting.

HSBC Climate Partnership //

Objectives

To produce a series of chaptered reports to communicate to the key stakeholder, HSBC, progress made in the project as it was rolled out across Asia

Approach

Working closely with the HCP team in WWF UK we designed and scripted the series of films. During the project we faced a number of challenges, particularly in Kanpur, India where our filming of the dangerous levels of toxic pollution entering the Ganges was resisted by local industry.

Roles

Researching, Producing, Directing, Shooting, Scripting and Voicing.

Earth Hour //

Objectives

To create content to add to WWF’s global “lights out” campaign. We were responsible for China’s Shanghai contribution.

Approach

Working with WWF China we based ourselves in Shanghai for the shoot to capture the lights going out on the city skyline.

Roles

Researching, producing, filming, editing and scripting.

Olympic Promo //

Objectives

To create a commercial length promo to be shown at a live prevention to the IOC to promote Sustainability through Sport.

Approach

Working with WWF UK we designed and scripted this film and then accessed archive libraries to find suitable content to illustrate the short film.

Roles

Researching, Producing and Editing.

Blue Mile //

Objectives

To produce a film to both tell the story of London’ Blue Mile event and to promote the event for the forthcoming year. The event was attended by BBC presenter Paul Rose – expert in marine environments.

Approach

Working to a tight budget the shoot entailed the minimum of resources to produce – one multi-skilled single person resource for the shoot day and a two edit.

Roles

A one-man multi-skilling role – Producer/ director / camera / sound / editor
