  • Sponsor Fulfilment  – designed to thank partners for their support.

Overview

This event is a perfect example of our DEC (Digital Event Coverage) product in action, where we supply an end-to-end menu of services to meet all of the event organiser’s digital media needs. The backstory to this event is that IMG had been appointed as the Broadcast partner but were asked to offer a 360 service that also incorporated the organiser’s own channel which would house bespoke content and over which they would have editorial control. And so TVMI were brought in to design, manage and produce Evian Masters TV – which has now become Evian Championship TV as the event has gained “Major” status. Distribution onsite is via a bespoke channel network to jumbo screens on the course, screens in hospitality areas and hotels…and Online via websites and platforms such as YouTube.

A Channel for Fans //

Objectives

To create a fun and informative channel to enhance fan enjoyment of the event. The content was designed to meet both Onsite and Online needs. A “Modular” approach, consisting of the creation of multiple video items, allowed standalone clips to be used online where fans could actively select what they wanted to watch – and then for the clips to be aggregated into a passive playlist to create a 15 minute programme to be shown on the onsite network (on-course, hospitality areas, hotels etc).

Approach

We designed the whole channel look for the event including the graphics. Because English is the international language of the tournament english-speaking  presenters were used  to add personality and identity to the content. However much of the presenting was just top-and-tailing allowing the content to be easily reversioned into other languages.

Roles

We provided a full production team for this event – all multi-skilled personnel. Camera/Editors, Presenter/Editors and even a Presenter/Camera/Editor! Based is a small room we would script, voice and produce the content before handing off to the network team.

Example content…

News // the players and the event

Objectives

To offer fans up-to-date newsworthy video content of the tournament with an immediacy that is not possible via a traditional broadcast offering.

Approach

Working with experts like Mickey Walker and the LPGA’s Heather Donofrio we previewed who to look out for… profiled the top players and offered highlights of each day’s play.

Roles

Presenting, scripting, shooting and editing.

Behind the Scenes //

Objectives

Whilst golf is the focus there is much going on behind the scenes – social, celebrity, fashion…that is of interest to both a golfing and a mass audience – helping to promote the event globally. It’s also an opportunity to see some of the behind the scenes organisation that goes to make this a top event.

Approach

Working with the organising team to the event we identified which stories needed to communicated and of which they were proud…and then set about capturing that content.

Roles

Presenting, scripting, shooting and editing

Sponsor Content //

Objectives

On behalf of the organisers thank and reward the event sponsors for their support. Many of the peripheral activities at the event were sponsored by the key partners making life much easier for us in terms of content creation.

Approach

Once again we would work with the organising team to identify which functions or events we should cover and then ensure that the sponsors were prominent in that content. This is one of the benefits of creating your own unregulated content as opposed to the confines of broadcast.

Roles

Presenting, scripting, shooting and editing.
